About Storm Recovery Hub: editorial and sourcing policy
Storm Recovery Hub is a free, plain-language storm help site operated by A2B Corp. Live data comes directly from the National Hurricane Center, National Weather Service, FEMA and USGS, safety guidance cites CDC, EPA and Ready.gov, and local links are checked by hand. It is not a government agency.
Who We Are
Who runs Storm Recovery Hub
Storm Recovery Hub is a free storm information site operated by A2B Corp, a digital media company based in Michigan. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with FEMA, the National Weather Service or any utility.
The site is supported by an optional cleanup-help request form. When someone uses it, A2B Corp may contact them, as explained on our Consent & Contact Disclosure. Official resource links are never paid placements. How referrals to partners work is explained on our Partners page.
How We Source
Where our information comes from
- Live data (storm advisories, warnings, FEMA declarations and river gauges) is pulled automatically from the National Hurricane Center, National Weather Service, FEMA OpenFEMA and USGS, and is labeled with its source and the time it was fetched.
- Safety guidance follows CDC, EPA, Ready.gov and FoodSafety.gov, and each point is linked to its source.
- Local links (county emergency offices, utilities, state agencies) are opened and checked by hand before they are published. Each storm page shows when it was checked.
- Storm logs summarize official NHC advisories and link to each original. We don't publish rumors, unverified social media reports or our own forecasts.
Editorial Policy
Accuracy, updates and corrections
- Pages show when they were last updated. Live sections refresh about every 10 minutes and say so if a feed is unavailable.
- We don't repeat numbers that change quickly (wind speeds, warning areas) in static text. We link to the live official source instead.
- We don't use fake urgency, fake reviews or testimonials, and we don't call any contractor "vetted." You should always verify a contractor's license and insurance yourself.
- Found an error or a broken link? Tell us through the contact page. We fix confirmed errors promptly and note significant corrections on the page.
