Terms of Use
Storm Recovery Hub shares general storm information compiled from government and third-party sources, provided as is. It isn't emergency or professional advice, we aren't a government agency, providers are independent, and you should always verify with official sources and follow local officials.
Please read the "Arbitration and class-action waiver" section. It affects how disputes are resolved, and you can opt out within 30 days.
Who we are
Storm Recovery Hub ("we," "us") is a website operated by A2B Corp, a Michigan company. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Informational only
Everything on this site is general information. It is not emergency, medical, legal, insurance, financial, engineering, safety or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for instructions from officials. In an emergency, call 911. Always follow instructions from the National Hurricane Center, National Weather Service, FEMA, and your state and local officials.
Third-party and live data
Much of this site is compiled from government and third-party sources (for example NHC, NWS, FEMA and USGS) that we don't control and don't verify in real time. Live data may be delayed, incomplete, wrong, cached or unavailable, and links may change. Check official sources yourself before you act.
No warranties
The site and all information, data, links and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties or representations of any kind, express or implied, including about accuracy, completeness, timeliness, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.
Not a government agency
Storm Recovery Hub and A2B Corp are not a government agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent or partner of FEMA, NOAA, NWS, NHC, USGS, the Red Cross, or any state or local government. We don't file insurance or FEMA claims and aren't adjusters.
Linked sites
Links to other websites are for convenience. We don't control or endorse them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.
Independent providers
Providers on our partner list are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Storm Recovery Hub or A2B Corp. We don't endorse, recommend, guarantee or vouch for any provider, and we are not responsible for their work, prices, conduct, licenses or insurance. You decide whether to hire anyone. Verify any provider's license and insurance before hiring.
Your use
Don't submit false information, someone else's details without permission, or automated or abusive requests, and don't interfere with the site.
Assumption of risk
You use the site and rely on its information at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own decisions and safety.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Storm Recovery Hub, A2B Corp and their owners, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of property, data, profits or injury arising from or related to the site, its information, linked sites, or any provider, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims related to the site is limited to $100. Some places don't allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless A2B Corp and its owners, employees and partners from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the site or your violation of these Terms.
Arbitration and class-action waiver
Except for small-claims cases, any dispute about the site or these Terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court. You and we each waive the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class or representative action. You may opt out of this section by emailing [email protected] within 30 days after you first use the site, with your name and the words "arbitration opt-out." If this section is opted out of or found unenforceable, the "Governing law and venue" section applies.
Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by Michigan law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any court proceeding allowed under these Terms will be in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Severability and changes
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. We may update these Terms by posting a new version here with a new date; continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
