Privacy Policy
Storm Recovery Hub is operated by A2B Corp. When you ask for help, we collect your contact details and share them with, and may sell them to, A2B Corp's partners so that A2B Corp or one of its partners can contact you. You can opt out of sale or sharing at any time.
Who we are
Storm Recovery Hub is operated by A2B Corp, a Michigan company. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us on the help form: name, phone, email, ZIP code, type of damage, and notes.
- Consent record: whether you checked the consent box and the exact consent wording shown to you.
- Technical details sent with a request: date and time, IP address, browser user agent, and the page you submitted from.
- We don't use advertising cookies. The live storm panels load public government data and don't identify you.
Optional email sign-up
If you choose to get the checklist by email, we collect your email address and the separate email consent you gave; we use it only to send the checklist and occasional storm tips, and you can unsubscribe any time. This sign-up is optional, is separate from the cleanup-help request, and is not shared with providers for contact about cleanup.
"Use my location"
If you tap "Use my location," your browser asks your permission first. We round your coordinates to two decimal places (about a kilometer), send them once to look up your county, weather alerts, forecast and nearby river gauges from the National Weather Service and USGS, and do not store, log or share them. Your device remembers only the county and state, which you can clear with "Change location." We may also suggest a state based on your network's general region; it isn't applied unless you tap it, and we don't store it. Your location is added to a cleanup request only if you choose that.
Analytics
If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or tracking you across sites.
How we use it
To respond to your request, connect you with a provider, keep records of consent, prevent spam and abuse, and comply with law.
Sharing and sale
Information you submit may be used by A2B Corp and shared with A2B Corp's partners so A2B Corp or one of its partners can contact you about your request. Partners are independent, and you are responsible for verifying any provider's license and insurance before hiring. Some partners may pay A2B Corp a referral fee; some state laws treat this as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Partners use your information under their own privacy practices. We also use service vendors (such as hosting and email delivery) that process data for us, and we may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and opt-out
- Opt out of sale or sharing: use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or email [email protected].
- Texts: reply STOP to any text. Calls and email: tell the caller or email [email protected]. See the Consent & Contact Disclosure.
- We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing where required.
Your state privacy rights
Depending on where you live (for example California, or other states with consumer privacy laws, and Florida residents covered by the Florida Digital Bill of Rights), you may have the right to: know what personal information we have about you; get a copy; correct it; delete it; opt out of its sale or sharing and of targeted advertising; and not be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll verify your request by matching details you provide, and you can use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.
Storage and retention
Requests and consent records are stored securely in an access-controlled database hosted by our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), with access limited to people at A2B Corp who need it. We keep cleanup requests for up to 24 months, and consent records (what you agreed to, when, and the exact wording shown) for up to 5 years so we can show we had permission to contact you, unless the law requires otherwise. If you opt out, we flag your records so they are not shared again, but we keep the consent record itself as proof. You can ask us to delete your request details sooner by emailing [email protected]; we may keep the consent and opt-out record where the law allows.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. This site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post updates here and change the date above.
